SearchScene is a charitable search engine that's powered by Bing. We make money from search ads, just like Google, but we donate 95% of our profits to charities that fight the causes and effects of climate change. Here's how it works…
You can join up to 10 groups, so you could also create or join a departmental group, sports team group or just start a friends group.
Groups can be public or private. If you choose to create a public group then anyone can join, though you can restrict access by the person's email domain. If you choose to create a private group, then only people you share your private link with can join.
After you join a group, any tokens you collect by performing searches on SearchScene will be added to the group total. This is no way affects your privacy. No one else can see what you searched for – we don't collect that data anyway.
For more information on how SearchScene works, see our “How it works” page.
Ask your University's computer administrators or departmental heads to install our SearchScene browser extension on your University's computers. Using SearchScene instead of Google is an easy and free way to raise money for charity with every search you make.
Using SearchScene, you can also view your CO2 savings from tree planting, which can contribute towards your sustainability goals and contribute towards your CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) objectives.
Together, we can make a difference!

Sign in to SearchScene to synchronise your search counter and charitable tokens across all your devices. This also ensures that you will never lose your search counter, as it will be stored on our secure servers.
